Facility Precautions

Q: Are any areas off-limits?

A: As this is a fully private villa, you're welcome to use all guest spaces (including the private entrance). However, the attached garage is off-limits—it houses storage, staff offices, and equipment. Staff and service providers may enter for deliveries or maintenance. Rest assured, it’s separate from your private guest area.

Q: Is the villa non-smoking?

A: Yes, the entire indoor area is strictly non-smoking, including under the kitchen ventilation hood. Electronic cigarettes and shisha are also prohibited indoors. A smoking bench and turtle‐shell ashtray are provided outside. Enjoy the beach too—Fukutsu is famous for sea turtle nests!

Q: Can I bring pets? What types or how many?

A: Well-trained pets of any type are warmly welcome. For dogs, up to two are allowed without issue. If you have more dogs or other pet types, please contact us at booking—while we strive to accommodate, we may need to decline for facility management reasons. We appreciate your understanding.

Q: Can I leave my pet alone while I'm out?

A: Yes, you may. If your pet is well-trained and safe for themselves, feel free to take a break. Please note: any damage or stains requiring cleaning beyond routine will be charged at cost.

Q: What happens if my pet has an accident?

A: A ¥5,000 cleaning fee is charged if extra cleaning is needed due to accidents. If regular check-out cleaning suffices, no fee will be applied. However, stains on sofas or tatami, or bodily messes left behind, will incur additional charges as needed.

Q: How do I check in?

A: You’ll receive an access code before arrival. Use it to unlock/lock the front door with the electronic key. Staff may greet you if available, but after 3 PM you may use self-check-in.

Q: What are the check-out procedures?

A: Press the ✔️ on the electronic key to lock upon departure. Please follow these steps before leaving: Leave used towels, sheets, etc. unfolded by the veranda (near the washing machine). Do not take amenities home. Replacement charges apply for loss or damage. Leave all garbage in bins; separate BBQ waste into bags in the outdoor bin. Please wash any used dishes. Turn off all air-conditioning and lights. If departing by car, please exit straight—no U-turns—to ensure safety.

Q: Until what time can we use the BBQ?

A: Outdoor use, including BBQ, is allowed until 9 PM. After that, any outdoor activity—especially loud music or noisy gatherings—may prompt a police response. Quiet activities like bonfires, stargazing, or sitting on the bench are fine. Please enjoy peaceful evenings at Soranoshita.

Q: Can we host events or filming?

A: All events and filming require prior approval. Please provide details on your purpose and content. For YouTube or online filming, we'll need to review your channel name and intended content.

Q: What if there’s no hot water?

A: The gas safety sensor may have shut off the gas if the gas heater ran too long. If there's no hot water or heater startup, locate the gas cylinder meter outside (behind the kitchen), and press the black reset button inside the meter. Hot water should be restored immediately.

How do we dispose of trash during long stays?

A: For stays over a few days, use the stainless trash box near the roadside power pole. Use pink Fukutsu-designated trash bags. Trash pickup is Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Q: What amenities are included?

A: We provide toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towel, slippers, cotton swabs, and paper cups in the mirror cabinet. A Lepronizer hairdryer is available. Amenities are not for takeaway.

Q: Are dining supplies included?

A: Basic seasonings—salt, pepper, oil, and soy sauce—are supplied. Previous guests sometimes leave extras in the fridge; please leave only new and hygienic items for future guests.

Q: Is there a washer and dryer?

A: We have a 14 kg automatic washing machine, with detergent gel balls in a box on its right—please use one per load. There is no dryer, but we provide a drying rack. A coin laundry is also nearby.
